A small crew that starts with a flashlight

Kestrel is seven people in Northeast Minneapolis who do one job: keep mice and rats out of houses. Sengdao Phimmasone started it after watching trap-only calls come back every winter.

We work on older houses with stone foundations, porch skirting and attics that have been patched for decades. We tell you what we found, what we'll seal and what we'll leave to someone else.

• Two small crews, one office

• The owner writes every estimate

• We say when a job is someone else's
